The 11m Long Bus From Volvo
The 11m long bus is designed for passenger transport, it has enough space to accommodate 46 passengers and offers a comfortable travel experience. It features a stylish exterior design and a powerful engine that provides excellent performance. It also has a spacious luggage compartment for storage of passengers’ luggage.
Most people in a major city know about articulated buses, with their accordion-looking connection in the middle of two cars. But the latest one from Volvo takes articulation to another level: It’s 98 feet long, or about a third of the length of a football field. It’s called the Gran Artic 300 and has double articulation, which might sound impressive until you realize how big it is.
The company is debuting it in Rio, where it hopes it will be part of a bus rapid transit (BRT) system. But the United States won’t be getting one, at least not soon. The vast majority of cities can’t handle a BRT line, and those that do don’t have the road space for these behemoths to move through.
