The top ten Chinese bus exporters for the first eight months of 2026 (up to August) have been released. King Long Bus ranked first with 10,322 units, followed closely by Yutong Bus with 9,212 units. Overall, the industry exported 54,979 units, a year-on-year increase of 13.66%, with the leading companies, King Long, Yutong, and Yutong, maintaining their dominant position.
With cumulative exports exceeding 50,000 units in the first eight months, King Long firmly holds the top spot. The industry as a whole saw a year-on-year increase of over 13%, solidifying the top three tiers. The 54,979 buses exported in the first eight months, a year-on-year increase of 13.66%, is an encouraging result.
King Long, with 10,322 units exported, remains the industry leader and is the only company in the industry with cumulative exports exceeding 10,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 27.79%, with a market share of 18.77%, maintaining its leading position.
Yutong Bus maintained its second-place ranking from the first seven months, with export sales of 9,212 units, a year-on-year increase of 6.74%, and a market share of 16.76%.
Golden dragon Bus remained in third place, with export sales of 6,728 units, a year-on-year increase of 13.71%, and a market share of 12.24%.
Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus) remained in fourth place, with exports of 6,041 units, a year-on-year increase of 23.99%, and a market share of 10.99%.
Zhongtong Bus remained in fifth place, with export sales of 5,784 units, a year-on-year increase of 23.91%, and a market share of 10.52%.
Note:King Long and Yutong Bus have both accumulated sales of around 10,000 units, with a difference of about 1,000 units between them, forming the “first tier.” King Long Bus, Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus), and Zhongtong Bus have all sold around 6,000 units, with a difference of less than 1,000 units between them, forming the “second tier.” The other companies can be considered the “third tier.” The gap between each tier is significant, exceeding 2,000 units, which explains why the top five companies have maintained a stable ranking.
